Civil, Computer Science and Aeronautical Technologies Engineering

The Department of Civil, Computer Science and Aeronautical Technologies Engineering of Roma Tre University is a campus inside the town with wide spaces and green areas where you can enjoy university life, it was built on a previous industrial site which has been widely qualified. The Department of Engineering is located near Saint Paul’s Basilica and near Rome subway (B/B1line). A new premise of the Department based in Ostia in front of the sea runs from 2018 where specific engineering degree programs dealing with the interaction between sea and coastal territory are held.

The Departiment has been awarded by the Ministry, in the five-year period 2017-2022, among the 180 Departments of Excellence of the Italian university system.

The course catalogue includes programmes in the fields of Civil and Environmental,  Computer Science and Management, Aeronautical and Industrial Engineering continuously updated thanks to the collaboration and relationships with the company’s world guaranteeing high levels of employment opportunities to its graduates.

From academic year 2022-2023 the Department offers a new Bachelor’s Degree course in Aeronautical and Air Transport Engineering Technologies alongside with Civil and Computer Science Engineering.

The Bachelor’s degree courses are further deepened by the Master’s degree in:

Civil engineering for natural hazard mitigation, Road infrastructures and transport engineering, Sustainable coastal and ocean engineering (delivered in English in Ostia), Aeronautical engineering, Computer science and engineering,  Management and automation engineering.

The main employment opportunities are:

• Degree courses in Civil engineering: in the fields of planning, programming and management of civil works and facilities;
• Degree courses in Aeronautical engineering: in the fields of planning, production and management in the aircraft industry and in the air transport;
• Degree courses in Computer Science engineering: in the fields of planning and implementation of complex information systems, network applications and services, and IT solutions for big data management and analysis, planning and implementation of information systems to support the management/ automation of processes.

The Master’s graduates quickly find employment in industries, public administrations, manufacturing, construction and service enterprises, research institutions and professions.

The Department rewards merit by means of scholarships of €. 600 for each best enrolled student, it awards as well the best papers within project courses and the best degree theses.
