Civil, Computer Science and Aeronautical Technologies Engineering

The Department of Civil Engineering, Computer Science, and Aeronautical Technologies at Roma Tre is a university campus within the city, featuring spacious and well-organized living areas, previously the site of a historic industrial area that has been extensively redeveloped and renewed. Since 2018, a new location has been active at the Ostia campus, offering specific degree courses in engineering that focus on the interaction between the sea and coastal territory.

From 2017 to 2022, the Department was selected by the Ministry as one of the 180 Departments of Excellence within the Italian university system. The course catalogue, structured in Study Programs in the fields of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Computer Science, Management Engineering, Aeronautical and Industrial Engineering, are constantly updated through collaborations and direct relationships with the business world, ensuring high employment levels for its graduates. The Department also offers a wide range of post-graduate programs that are renewed each year and starting from the academic year 2025-2026, a Master's in Advanced Air Mobility will be launched. The main employment opportunities vary based on the chosen educational pathways, including the design, planning, programming, and management of civil works and infrastructure; components and systems typical of the aeronautical sector and air transport management or complex and distributed information systems, network applications and services, IT solutions for managing and analyzing big data, and the design and implementation of information systems to support the management/automation of processes.
